Family Medicine

July 9 marked my 1 year anniversary working in my practice. To my pleasant surprise that morning, I walked in to muffins, donuts, and a 1 year candle to celebrate the year. The thoughtfulness and warmth of the staff is one of the many reasons why I love my current job.

It sure has been an eventful year. My schedule one year ago consisted of 3 patients! That number has increased steadily. Balancing pregnancy, new baby, and brand new job first year out of residency was sure something... Now what will this year bring?

ha... thought of a little rhyme...

School physicals, sport physicals,
Colds, pneumonias, or flu
Mole removals, cyst removals,
Ingrown toenails, too.

EKGs, Spirometry,
There's many things we do,
Throat cultures, wound cultures
Arterial dopplers, too

Joint injections and suturing,
High blood pressure that's new,
Have we checked your sugar or fat?
Your yearly pap smear is due!

Young patients or old patients
It doesn't matter who
Got an emergency? We'll fit you in...
'Cause that is what we do.
