We're back from another trip to Texas! This time it was to visit my grandmother who is 91 years old! We also spent time with my aunts and cousins etc. So for Sierra, it would be her great grandmother, grandaunts, aunts and uncles as well as her... cousins once removed? Or is it second cousin? I can never get the terminology right. In chinese everybody is an "ayi" and everybody is a "jie jie" or "dee dee" etc. I suppose I can google but too tired... need to sleep... so what am I doing bloggin?
The plane ride to Houston was great... her best yet! No screaming although Joe and I had to do an emergency poopy diaper change in our seats since we were already strapped in and the plane was about to take off. If we waited until we can go to the bathroom, we were sure she'd blow out and we'd be in bigger trouble. Wait I'm getting things mixed up.. maybe that was the plane ride back from Dallas that we did the emergency diaper change in our seats. Yes... this time we did emergency poopy diaper change standing in the back where the bathrooms were. Only 1 bathroom was working and there was a long line. So Joe held Sierra while I did the poopy change. Man! Life is so much harder with a little one!
During the week Sierra rolled from back to front for the first time! She was able to roll from front to back exactly on her 4 month birthday but I think she forgot how because after rolling from back to front she'd get kinda frustrated. But yes... so much more interactive now. Will have to think of more games to play with her to stimulate her little curious mind...
Okey dokes. Ramble more laters...

Pharmaceutical Sponsored Dinner Talks
I just got back from a "drug dinner". It was actually a mandatory department meeting held at a nice restaurant and sponsored by a drug company. There was a pretty good speaker actually who gave a talk that was not focused on the drug... those are the better talks... medically relevant info that is evidence based and not necessarily focused on a particular drug...
Now as I was trying to recall the company that sponsored the meeting and the product that is advertised on the pen they handed out... I could not. So does that mean that the marketing method didn't work on me?

What am I doing?
So what am I doing starting another blog when I haven't xanga'd in months... and I really should be sleeping? Good question, man. I was supposed to check email for 5 minutes and then go to sleep... but now it is almost 1 hour later!
In the past, when I finally tear myself away from the computer and crawl into bed... Sierra will start crying and need to be nursed. Sigh. Life has been busy revolving around trying to care for my little girl. I can not believe she is now almost 5 months old! This is the cute stage.. where she is more interactive... smiling, cooing, kicking, sucking, drooling...
We had our first plane ride last weekend when we went to visit Joe's mom in Dallas. The weekend marked the 1 year memorial for Joe's dad. The plane ride going there was not as bad as it could have been. She slept the 1st hr.. played the 2nd.. and only fussed for about 30 min during the descent when her ears were bothering her. The plane ride back was harder becuase she fussed in the middle and we had no ear pressure excuse! This coming weekend, we're flying out to Houston to visit my grandmother. I am so not looking forward to the flying part... especially also since I'm fearing that Sierra has caught the nasty virus that I am getting over. This has been a very crazy winter where almost every patient I see these days is coughing, sputtering germs, swollen, and congested. With such lack of sleep... it's no wonder I don't have the immunity to fight off illness! I've gotten sick twice so far this winter!
Well, I am totally rambling but I think that's why I started this blog. I didn't feel like rambling on Xanga and I'm certainly quite the rambler...
Well, that's it for now. Maybe I'll blog about some interesting patients from time to time... we'll see.. or maybe I'll get tired of this and not keep it up...
